Position:

1. STAFF NURSE (SURGICAL /MEDICAL/PAEDIATRIC/CCU/ENDOSCOPY/ER NURSE)

Job Responsibilities:

• The main front liner who renders nursing care to patients within the hospital.
• Plans and executes Nursing Care for their patients with team members according to individual Patient’s needs.
• Responsible for providing nursing leadership and is accountable for the coordination of clinical activities.
• Makes professional judgment and decisions about nursing care.
• Carries out specialists order in accordance to established standards of nursing practices, policies and procedures

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Nursing or equivalent.
• SRN registered with Malaysian Nursing Board
• Must possess annual practicing license
• Fresh graduates or experienced

2. STAFF NURSE (OPERATING THEATRE)

Job Description:

• Assist in surgeries as 1st assistant to the surgeon.
• Take on the role as Team Leader in the perioperative team.
• Take on role of the Instrument Nurse
• Take on the role of the Circulator
• Ensures correct and current peri-operative practice with emphasis in aseptic technique and infection control
• Prepares operating theatre, materials and equipment for surgery and render professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of the Medical planned care, as directed by the Nurse Manager or designee.
• Makes professional judgment and decisions about nursing care in accordance to established standards of nursing practices, policies and procedures.
• Ability to identify safety hazards and initiate immediate corrective actions.
• Plan, organize, communicate, supervise and evaluate the total care plan for the patients in the operating theatre.
• Provide a 24-hour OT on call services for emergencies.
• Assume role as the Team Leader in the perioperative team to guide, lead, direct and coordinate the team members and tasks.
• Complies to Infection Control practices and adheres to Clinical Waste management policies.
• Assist anesthetist during administration of anesthesia if required.
• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, practice aseptic techniques and ensure safe standards of care given.

Requirement:

• SRN registered with Malaysian Nursing Board.
• Must possess annual practicing license.
• Post-basic courses in OT techniques an added advantage.
• Degree in Nursing is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of principles in perioperative nursing in a multidisciplinary set up. ( >4 years ) and or
• Competence in OT nursing techniques. (>85%)
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
• Computer literate an advantage.
